Vigla is not a medical device and does not replace 112 or your local emergency number.
Setting up the Android phone
To work reliably, Vigla must keep running in the background. Many phones close apps to save battery: here is how to prevent that. Menu names may vary by system version.
In every case: allow location (“always” or “while using the app” as the app instructs), notifications and microphone when asked, and allow full-screen notifications so the alarm appears even when the phone is locked.
Samsung (One UI)
Settings → Battery → Background usage limits → Never sleeping apps: add Vigla. Then Settings → Apps → Vigla → Battery → Unrestricted.
Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO (MIUI, HyperOS)
Settings → Apps → Manage apps → Vigla → Battery saver → No restrictions. Also enable “Autostart” and lock Vigla in recent apps (long-press its card and tap the lock).
Huawei / Honor (EMUI, MagicOS)
Settings → Battery → App launch: turn off automatic management for Vigla and enable Auto-launch, Secondary launch and Run in background.
Oppo / Realme / OnePlus (ColorOS, OxygenOS)
Settings → Battery → More settings (or Battery optimisation) → Vigla → Don't optimise. In App info → Vigla enable Auto-launch and Background activity.
Google Pixel
Settings → Apps → Vigla → Battery (App battery usage) → Unrestricted. Turn off “Pause app activity if unused” for Vigla.
FAQ
I have an iPhone: can I use Vigla?
Yes, as a family member, to receive alerts and manage events. Monitoring the protected person requires an Android phone.
I got a “monitoring is not active” alert
Check that the phone is on and connected, that the app was not closed, and that the battery settings above are right. The alert clears by itself when monitoring resumes.
How do I change the contacts to alert?
From the app in Family mode, in the recipients section, where you can also choose levels and channels.
